Brief History of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba

Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba started as an extension campus of Letran Manila. Born on March 07, 1979 in an 11-hectare tract of land in Bucal, Calamba City, Laguna, it gained its autonomy on August 7, 1986. It has, since its foundation, ardently contributed to the advancement of the youth from different towns and cities of Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, and Quezon. It prides itself with producing graduates who have landed top positions in board examinations and are now successful professionals serving in managerial capacities in various multinational corporations in the country and abroad.
Letran Calamba’s campus, dubbed as the Escorial of the South (Philippine Daily Inquirer, 2004), sits at the foothills of the majestic Mt. Makiling. True to its ideals, Letran Calamba is a fine example of the synergy of quality education, spiritual evangelization, and patriotism. Anchored on the motto, DEUS, PATRIA, LETRAN, its vision of becoming a University will definitely see fulfillment in the near future. Arriba, Letran!
